Moments later Superman and the\nprofessor are standing behind the waist high metal safety railing that runs\naround the open trench looking down into the radiation well from high above. \u201cThe\nair tanks I mentioned Superman,\u201d directs the professor as he gestures towards\ntwo air tanks painted bright white on the far side of the lab.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cThe\nmonorail with its crane-hoist you see above the well is used to lower objects\ninto and out of the radiation well,\u201d explains the professor as he gestures at\nthe freshly painted white support columns of two bright red twin steel rails\nthat run the entire length of the radiation well to a steel overhead door.\nMounted between the twin rails is crane hoist that moves on the twin rails to\nload and unload cargo.<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cThe\ntest objects are trucked in and unloaded with the crane and I\u2019m in business,\u201d\nsays the professor.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cYou\u2019ve\noutdone yourself this time professor,\u201d commends Superman as he stares past he\nopen lead doors of the radiation well to the reflective floor; viewing the well\nfrom above affords Superman a better view of the array of energy projecting\ndisks that point downwards.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cCan\nthe angle of the disks be adjusted professor?\u201d asks Superman. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Certainly;\nall the disks can move 90 degrees to 35 degrees vertically; the four outer\ndisks can move 45 degrees towards the center of the well horizontally; this\nallows the computers to bombard any object with amplified radiation to the\nfullest extent possible,\u201d explains the professor.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cThe\nradiation well is a dream come true; the answer I\u2019ve been searching for to\nsolve your\u2026problem.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The\nprofessor turns away from the well and says, \u201cCome, I\u2019ll show you the control\ncenter,\u201d as he gestures Superman away from the well and towards the back wall\nof the spacious lab towards a lead paneled door. The professor faces another\nnumeric keypad mounted on the brick wall next to the door and enters a series\nof numbers. There is the loud sound of compressing air as the large lead paneled\ndoors rise laboriously on struts from within the radiation well and begin to\ncome together as part of the lab floor. The lead doors come together and shift\nslightly with a thud closing off the well from the lab. Blooms of air vent into\nthe lab and dissipate as twin steel panels slam together blocking access to the\nescape shaft and the ladder leading to down to well. A mechanical voices echoes\nloudly through the lab loudly, \u201cRadiation Well Secured,\u201d<span>&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cCan\u2019t\nhave folks falling into that contraption,\u201d jokes the professor as he enters\nmore numbers and the lead panels divide opening the way to the control room.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The\nprofessor and Superman enter the completely lead lined control room chucked\nfull of various types of computers and flat screens; there is a bank of\ncomputer servers on the right wall attached to a large UPS. There is a large\n50\u201d plasma screen mounted on the wall directly adjacent to the control room\nentrance that is presently showing computer encryption program. There is a\nyoung man in a white lab coat seated at the console facing the screen entering\ndata. \u201cYou remember Eden don\u2019t you Superman,\u201d asks the professor?<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">The\nyoung man rises quickly and cheerfully offers his hand to Superman and they\nboth shook hands. \u201cHello Superman! It\u2019s been a long time! It\u2019s great to see you\nagain! I saw you on CNN yesterday; you saved all those kids out in Smallville.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">Eden\nis a handsome boy, 23, blue eyes, almost 6 feet tall, and has blonde hair cut\nshort and is apparently thrilled at Superman\u2019s visit.<span>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\n\n\u201dOf course I remember Eden. Hello Eden,\u201d said Superman. \u201cYou\u2019re looking well;\nas for the school bus \u2013 that\u2019s all in a days work. How is your graduate work\nprogressing,\u201d asked Superman? \u201cYou must be almost finished.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><\/span><p><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial;\"><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u201cThanks\nfor asking sir.
